Ilnuatsh Elders have always played an important role in transmitting knowledge and traditions. The role the Board of Elders plays to the Pekuakamiulnuatsh Takuhikan is mainly advisory. It presents and defends the point of view of Elders on various questions, while promoting the interests of Elders and making their preoccupations known, thus contributing to realising the mission of the Pekuakamiulnuatsh Takuhikan and the development of the community. The Board of Elders is constituted by nomination following a public notice. It is composed of seven men and women, aged 60 and over.
