The Education and Manpower division tries to provide the Pekuakamiulnuatsh with general training as well as a variety of other training activities in order to instruct, socialise, qualify, and provide access to the job market. This training is given by the schools and community services. The division also contributes to developing linguistic and cultural competencies to strengthen identity and a sense of belonging to the Pekuakamiulnuatsh nation. The division supports the Pekuakamiulnuatsh in their personal, educational, and professional development, and ensures last resort services when necessary.
The Education and Manpower division is responsible for managing two schools, the Amishk Primary School and the Kassinu Mamu Secondary School, both of which offer programmes accredited by the ministry of Éducation, loisir et sport (MELS). The Pekuakamiulnuatsh training programme is currently being developed, and encourages the development of local programmes which will offer learning activities in the Ilnu culture, such as Nehlueun, the social environment, and excursions in the territory.
