Louise has worked at the Native Museum of Mashteuiatsh since 1986. She established a classification system for the museum’s photo archives and is currently helping the museum to evaluate the community’s archival potential, in order to create an Aboriginal archives centre. Museum guide and interpreter for several years, she joined the museum committee to help develop the new permanent exhibition, following the museum’s expansion in 1998 and continues to collaborate on installing new permanent and travelling exhibitions. She is currently in charge of the Ilnu heritage sector and is the collections archivist.
Before working at the museum, Louise was employed as a university research technician and worked for the Government of Quebec, in the Ministry of Tourism, Hunting, and Fishing.
