Amy Van Allen

Amy Van Allen joined the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in 1999. She spent the first 12 years facilitating the museum’s relationships with Indigenous communities across the Western Hemisphere, managing numerous community-based projects, as well as international relations and partnerships. Now a project manager, Amy’s most recent project was the development of the interactive imagiNATIONS Activity Center in Washington, DC. Her current projects include the museum’s national education initiative and the Inka Road project. Amy holds an MA in international relations and an MS in environmental science.
