Claire Nigay is a doctoral candidate in information science at the Université de Montréal. Her research is focussed on the accessibility of art in cultural institutions for people with vision loss. In 2008, she completed a master’s degree in information science at the École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’information of the Université de Montréal. For two years she was a member of the documentation committee of the DOCAM project. She was a research assistant on audio description projects with CRIM, and also contributed to the realisation of travelling exhibitions and communication tools. In addition, she acted as a museum consultant in the process of creating the Loin devant exhibition for the Institut Nazareth & Louis-Braille. In the CURA project, Claire is responsible for managing audiovisual documents. She coordinated the documentation committee for one year, and worked on technical issues for two years.
